Lesson Exported From Abroad
Interesting article from The Economist about Being Foreign.
I felt completely identified with your post. The only thing I dislike is when you said that you are lucky to live in a green country, when in fact, a green culture is trying to show us that all this mistakes and stupid behavior is globally affecting the world, and not only Argentina. If resources are going to be scarce, then also your country will be. I’m very concerned about the short mentality Argentineans have about ecology, specially ironic coming from a country with so many nature treasures. Ladies washing the sidewalks, not recycling culture at all, people wasting water, there are have infinite examples of the ignorance here on this matter. I had the same fight at the super, my solution was using the plastic bags to my own garbage, so at least I’m not buying more plastic that is needed.
